Meguiar's Ultimate Quik Wax - Awful Streaking and Splotches

I had a clear bra (Vendure Shield) put on my car and was told to routinely apply Quik Wax to the bra to help protect it from long-sitting bug splats between car washes. I guess bug guts can do some damage given enough time. I got some Meguiar's Quik Wax and tried it. What a disaster. The stuff constantly streaks and leaves splotches. I tried wetting the Viking microfiber towel with it and then applying, but no change. An ordinary hardware terry towel seems to work better, but still, the streaking is there. It does the same thing on paint or the bra. Maybe the microfiber is no good? They are the ones in the link, but mine are a five pack.

Not good reviews but no mention of the problems I am having. I will get better microfiber cloths if those are what is recommended.

Heres some suggestions...

Use less product.

Buff off the excess.

Use clean towels.

Use better towels.

Another tip is to use 1-3 spritzs on a microfiber and apply it that way and then buff of with another microfiber. Are you applying in direct heat?

Yeah, pretty common to use too much... just a light overspray over the area, or some on the damp cloth can be enough.
