  • Question on D155 Last Touch Spray

Is this concentrated ? If i were to buy a gallon of this stuff, and put it in a sprayer, what ratio would i dilute it too ? Just to wipe off light dirt dust, that i get inbetween my car wash regiment.

My other use for this would be to replace Quik Detailer for claying, as that's getting expensive.. What would the dilution ratio be for that too ?

    Thanks in advance.

Re: Question on D155 Last Touch Spray

Or am i better to get the M135... Basically I'm looking for a spray on QD like product to use during my weekly washes.. But I realize that I'd probably be wasting the hydrophobic properties on the M135, if i was to use it for claying... Maybe I'll get both.....

Re: Question on D155 Last Touch Spray

They are both great products. For claying they say not to use Synthetic Spray Detailer or Ultimate Detailer, but I can tell you from experience it does NOT matter which detail spray you use as long as it is slick claying works fine... if too slick it STILL works.

Personally, I do NOT use detailing sprays for claying unless I am lazy or doing a small area (like a wiped off bird dropping).

What I recommend is economical - soapy water... (only downside is it needs to be rinsed off)

      1. Wash the car like normal (I recommend the two bucket method and grit guard)
      2. Rinse the car like you do after you wash it.
      3. DO NOT DRY NOW (like you normally would)
      4. Get a NEW Bucket of CLEAN soapy water.
      5. Clay the car with the soapy water as the lube.
      6. Final rinse like in #2
      7. NOW DRY IT

You can use it straight out of the bottle as a QD or dilute it 1:1 for clay lube.

M135 is not recommended to be used as clay lube as the polymers are too slick. Meaning it would not allow the clay to remove all surface contaminants. I have both and primarily use D155 as clay lube and M135 as a QD. You may also want to add a bottle of D156 and use that as a drying aid or every other wash to maintain your LSP. You could even use D114 as a QD. There are so many options and some products are just versatile that they can fall into many categories.

Soaps can sometimes cause clay to degrade.
