  • PP 365 & Spray Bottle

Is there any ill effect if the PP 365 is sprayed onto an applicator with a small spray/ mist bottle? Will the results differ if mist bottle is used instead of the factory pinhole cap???

      I saw that, thanks!
Was just hoping to he from Meguiars....
I'm curious if any of the ingredients in PP would not go through the sprayer... Sorry, I'm a nerd

I say experiment a little. More than likely you will be fine using this approach.

Anyone who has used PP knows that it is very low in viscosity, almost like baby oil, which is why we had to source a bottle with a very fine orifice below the cap so that it doesn't just come flooding out of the bottle. The fine line of product dispensed out of the bottle will quickly spread through and across the applicator as you begin to spread it out onto the paint, and you'll find that it continues to do so for quite some time. This product sort of redefines "a little bit goes a long way"!

Now, using a spray bottle distributes a small amount of product widely across the face of the applicator pad, whether you're working by hand or with a DA, and makes application incredibly easy. I even misted product directly onto the paint while working the application, picking it up as I went, and it provided an excellent user experience.

We as a company, however, are not going to step out and recommend that everyone apply PP like this, simply because doing so comes across as us stating that you have to purchase a secondary bottle and pour the product off yadda yadda. That does not sit well with the consumer to whom this product is targeted. But when you start talking to a bunch of detailing enthusiasts who don't mind experimenting with different processes, product combinations, etc....well.... things change a bit. We've always said that we're fine with folks experimenting, whether that be using M105 on a DA (a HUGE topic back in 2007 when M105 first hit the market) or the latest chatter of using M205 on a microfiber disc for serious defect removal. Simply swapping out the delivery method from bottle to applicator isn't as much a complex experiment as it a simple, elegant solution to a non problem. Some may love it, may see it as too much hassle since the "original" method works just fine. If you do like, go for it. It won't negatively impact the performance of the product and, quite frankly, if it gets someone to use the product on more vehicles, how on earth can we argue with that????
