I think he means whether you used it with your ac on or off.[during the fogging process]

I left the AC off as the car wasn't running. Kept the heater set on recirc and the blower motor running on full blast. That is all you should need to do.

That sounds like a good idea as opposed to having your car idling for 15min. Plus like you said it doesn't need to be on AC, just the fan/blower on hi.

I honestly don't think it matters if the AC is on or not. As long as the blower is on that is what you want. But that depends on what the car's feature is. Older cars don't have the recirculate feature. I just turn mine to the blower setting at the highest speed and let it go. I have tried the new car scent one both ways with and without the AC with no ill effects.

They don't recommend doing it with the AC on. Just the fan.

Re: Review - Citrus Grove Air-Refresher

I'm looking at the box right now and nowhere does it say use AC and recirculate..
On the side of the box it says: "With your car's fan on high and the air recycle turned on, the odor eliminator mist will move throughout the cabin and ventilation ducting, removing odors as it goes"
On the back of the box it says:
    1. Start the vehicle with the fan set on high (circulated cold air) and close all windows.

So technically, it never actually says "use AC and recirculate" lol.

I understand most cars turn on the AC automatically when the recirculate button is pushed, but some cars don't. I've never actually pressed that button on my own car as I've never really seen any advantage to using that mode.

And as far as idling my own car for 15min. And running the AC to simply use an air freshener? No way on earth I'd ever do that to my car. I drive a Cadillac. Having my engine idle for any prolonged period is like playing Russian roulette, as overheating is every Cadillac owners biggest fear. Lol.

I'd do it to someone else's car though! Especially if it's a reliable car like a Honda, Toyota etc.. No such worries as those cars seem to run forever

The summer breeze smelled great for 2-3 days but drastically smelled LESS after that. And after 3 weeks the smell is very very faint.

I'll have to give the citrus a try next.
