I want to use ultimate compound on my wrangler. The front quarter panels have the Jeep Wrangler lettering and a "x" decal on them. If I go over this with the compound will it destroy the decals?

    Re: Decals

Meguiar's does not recommend any of our traditional compounds, polishes, or waxes to be used on vinyl decals, stripes, wraps, etc. Especially in the case of using a compound on, it could haze & scour the surface. Although it may make the task more time consuming, it is going to be best to avoid these areas, or even tape them off to protect them. Our recommendations stated in the article linked below for vinyl wraps also apply to vinyl decals & stripes:

      Re: Decals

I have a full size cargo van and a 20' trailer that I maintain for our local Dutch Bros. Coffee. Both have full wraps, and after a good wash they get a generous application of D156. Always looks great!!
