Definitely not recommended for automotive finishes, too aggressive.

This is more for heavy, chalky oxidation. Yes it will remove hard water spots, but depending on the severity, and if the surface still has gloss with water spots, it would be best to start with a compound first like Meguiar's M67 Marine/RV One Step Compound.
