What Wheel Cleaner for Anodized Polished Wheels

Hello - I just received my WORK CR2P wheels. The barrels are anodized polished aluminum with clear coat. I believe I remember seeing one of the Meguiar's wheel cleaners that is ok to be used on Anodized wheels.

This is the message I received from WORK on their wheels:

* Do not use chemicals that include abrasive compounds, strong acids or high alkaline content. To select the right cleaning products, please read their product labels and instruction carefully.

Anyone have a recommendation on what product is best? I want to be sure what I get is correct as I paid a small fortune for this wheel and tire setup.

Meguiar's Hot Rims Aluminum Wheel Cleaner is our least aggressive wheel cleaner and would be our recommendation to match the manufacturer's recommendations. Be sure to use this product during washing, following directions, and applying to one wheel at a time from start to finish, when the wheel are cool, and not hot from driving.

Meguiar's Hot Rims Aluminum Wheel Cleaner is our least aggressive wheel cleaner and would be our recommendation to match the manufacturer's recommendations. Be sure to use this product during washing, following directions, and applying to one wheel at a time from start to finish, when the wheel are cool, and not hot from driving.

After you initially clean the wheels, seal them and all you need is soap and water until you need to give the wheels a deep clean again. D156 or Ultimate Quik Wax after every wash is a good way to keep some protection on the wheels. It's quick and works well. You can always put down a longer lasting product like NXT, ultimate wax or paint protect 365.

My new car has those cheap "chrome clad" wheels. The wheels are aluminum, with a non detachable plastic cover, that is chrome plated. It looks like real chrome, maybe it is, but plated on to plastic, and somehow attached permanently to the rim. Probably will buy real wheels next spring, but in the meantime, I will be putting my winter wheels on soon, and I would like to clean up these "chrome clad" wheels before storage. Will hot Rims be okay as a cleaner or does Meguiar's recommend something else? Thanks.

Thanks. Picked up some today. Did a test this evening and works nice. Will do the full wheels when they are off the car, inside and on a bench. (easier)

I use the Hot Rims Wheel cleaner on those type of wheels (It is the one that is blue)
Works great, and I like how it clings a bit to the wheel rather than dripping all over like some other companies wheel cleaners do. (It does not cling as well as the Hot Rims All Wheel & Tire, but still nice) Then it ends up discolouring the tires and you have to fix that too.

Here is a picture of my 2015 Mustang GT Performance Package with the WORK CR2P wheels. Cleaned with the Hot Rims cleaner and protect the wheels with the NTX wax
