I thought self-restoring self-healing paint was a passing fancy, but unbeknownst to me I purchased a car with a self-restoring coating. A thin coating applied over the clear coat, the coating which may last up to 5 - 8 years, is reputed to self heal minor scratches and swirls.
I have a feeling my approach to detailing detailing my own car may have just changed. The manufacturer recommends no abrasives.
Anyone have any real world experience with coating/paint of this nature?
