my question can i use the above polisher as
dual action orbit sander for speed glaze and yellow wax??

I'm not familiar with the foam gun. But then again, you can search the topic foam gun which was recently discussed on this board. It's the foam gun using at the detailing shop in Thailand.

Great Adventure, DeWALT DW443 can be used exactly the same way as using Porter Cable 7424 or Meguiar's G-100. DW443 runs between 4000-7600opm and with a speed dial between 1-5 (UK version might vary in specs) . Below is the actual oscillation speed with each dial setting:

1 - 4000opm
2 - 4900opm
3 - 5800opm
4 - 6700opm
5 - 7600opm

As for PC7424, the actual oscillation speed with each dial setting is:

1 - 2500opm
2 - 3200opm
3 - 3900opm
4 - 4600opm
5 - 5300opm
6 - 6000opm

Recommended speed when applying #80 and #26:

#80 - PC7424 (3-5), DW443 (1-2.5)
#26 - PC7424 (2-4), DW443 (1-1.5)

The foam gun which Tanat mentioned is used for spraying the shampoo all over the car before aggitating the dirt. SATA definitely makes great HVLP spray painting gun in the automotive paintwork industry.

I managed to replace my old 6" backing pad on my DW443 to a new 5" backing pad today. It is a custom made backing pad specially for DW443, manufactured by one of the local pad manufacturer in my country. Will try to capture the photo of it.

polisher.. while i got dewant obit sander/polisher in my hand..

Great Adventure, you're most welcome. Your Makita rotary machine has different function from the DW443. Rotary machine is used for paint correction, and alot more paint can be removed by using the same pad and product combination, for example, W-8006 Polishing Pad and #83 Dual Action Cleaner/Polish. For example, it took me 30 seconds to remove a paint defect with Makita, while it takes me almost 10 minutes to remove the same defect using DW443, and the result is not so optimum yet. However, DW443 is a great tool for removing light swirls, so that your clearcoat can be preserved as long as possible. You wouldn't want to pull out the Makita each time you detail your car right?
