  • Saturday 101 or Thursday Open Garage?

    Hi, New to MOL.

I need help deciding between the Saturday 101 class and the Thursday open garage. Can someone post the topics covered in the 101 class?

In terms of my experience, I'm already doing the two-bucket, grit guard wash, claying and layering GC carnauba plus over the M21. But I'm polishing by hand and would like to move to a DA and haven't got up the courage to put one on my paint without some instruction.

Would Saturday or Thursday be better for me?

I attended an April Saturday Detailing 101 class.
I recommend you continue by attending one of those classes. The morning includes an introduction to the product line and a detailed discussion of the differences between using a DA polisher with the polishing pads and the microfiber pads. The afternoon includes hands on instruction for use of the products including the MT300 DA polisher.

Once you have completed the Detailing 101 class, then attend a TNOG.

      Welcome to Meguiar's Online magnetiteblack,

Our Saturday Detailing 101 class consists of formal classroom instruction half the day, with a Meguiar's Training Specialist led PowerPoint presentation, which walks through our 5 Step Paint Care Cycle, Interior Basics, and Wheel & Tire Basics. The second half of the day is a hands on demonstration in our training garage, demonstration our MT300 Dual Action Polisher machine. Users who want to try the machine can also do so after the demonstration.

Our Thursday Night Open Garages do not contain any classroom instruction. They are more of a non-formal, come down to our open garage, try our product out, and if you have something in particular you want to learn, we have specialist at the event to assist.

If you have not seen the pictures from these events, you can view them below:

We would suggest attending our Saturday Detailing 101 Class first, and then if you would like, come back to a TNOG.
