Porter Cable 7336 or 7424

I'm thinking of buying the PC... just not sure which model to get.

7336 or 7424 ?

They are essentially the same machine. the 7336 has the 6" counterweight, and the 7424 has the 5" counterweight. The G-100 from Meguiar's is the exacty same model as the 7424, but offers a backing plate and pad in addition to a lifetime warranty. Point is, all three are essentially the same, if you want to insure you investment I'd go with the G-100, if not the 7336/7424 is probably your best bet. BTW, the pad/backing plate that comes with the 7424 should never, I repeat never touch your car's paint.
