Like said above...just WAAAAY to easy to use.

All of a sudden, you're finished and there ya stand with that 'deer in headlight look' thinkin', "That's it? I know that has to be somethin' I'm missing."

At first impression-IMPRESSED! Super slick feeling.

Should add...used over Ult Wax (liquid) after about 24 hours of 'cooking'.

Can i apply this ultimate fast finish after spraying the Ultimate Quick Wax? Also would i have to wait for the Ultimate Quick Wax to Cure like a paste wax? Or should i just do a past wax and use the Ultimate Fast Finish? That hand waxing is a pain in the Rear, wax on wax off. but i do have a DA Polisher as well )

Welcome to MOL. Apply a layer of UFF and maintain with UQW.

I'm gonna say yes. This wasn't intended to be used with water. Maybe you're thinking of a different product?

I'd love to see the official Meguiar's response on this. I've thought about doing it a few times now!

We can go out for a drive without her makeup and she looks fine. If I want to take the black one out, it is three or four hours in the "bathroom" to get ready.

We would not recommend using Ultimate Fast Finish on a wet surface or as a drying aid. Keep in mind, it is best to not introduce water to the paint surface after application of Ultimate Fast Finish for 12 - 24 hours for proper curing.

I was wondering what the procedure is for applying more coats of Ultimate Fast Finish to the paint? If the paint is just dusty am I safe to use detailing spray and a microfiber towel to clean it off, or will the presence of the fresh detailing spray cause problems for UFF to adhere properly to the finish.

As a side note, I was so excited to try this product that I drove one hour to the US border, waited a half hour to cross and then went to Walmart in Niagara Falls NY and picked up a bottle. (it's not sold in Canada) I washed my wife's BMW and got the chance to try out this product and I love it! Super easy to use, and the finish feels very slick now. It's going to be dry out tomorrow (so the UFF will get a good chance to cure) but we're supposed to get some rain on Wednesday, so I'll get to test out the hydrophobic qualities then.

I also have another question, does this product provide a higher level of protection if I put on a second or third coat or is one coat enough? (I did make sure I didn't miss any spots on her car by going over each section quite thoroughly as I worked it in)

I recently used a very similar aerosol based sealant as a drying aid that wasnt really meant to and it actually worked fairly well. It made application and removal easier than when I applied it per the instructions. Haven't noticed any issues with durability and the water beads are tight. This is in the short term though. Time will tell. Was just wondering if anyone has tried this UFF.

I just ordered a can of this and I'm looking forward to trying it. I also used the Black Wax on my new (to me) dark gray metallic car after a thorough washing and clay bar. It looks really good to me!

If I have this all right after lots of reading...

                          Steps:
                          1. Black Wax
                          2. UFF
                          3. Quick Wax... but which one? Gold Class Premium or Ultimate?
Is one better than the other over the UFF?
Is one better because the car is dark gray metallic?

                          Thanks!

                            That's dedication^^

Personally I believe 2 or 3 applications of UFF (applied ~24 hours apart - I can put 2 on in a weekend, Saturday morning, leave the car in the garage and again Sunday morning) work better than a single application. I do this almost every weekend, because, well - I've got the detailing bug that bad

Just make sure your surface is cleaned and polished properly first, I use Meguiar's D151 PRC/Cleaner Wax. It MAY help the UFF bond, but I don't know for sure. What I DO know is that the prep work is the key to a great looking finish.

BTW, you don't have to 'work it in,' this is a WIPE ON, WIPE OFF sealant - no real effort needed. Oh, yeah - I don't believe that a COMPATIBLE quick detailer (Meguiar's QDs would be a safe bet) would hurt anything.

I'm hoping someone answers you because I have a similar question. I used NXT Tech Wax, let it cure, put on a layer of FF on top. I live in a temperate climate -- for the next 5 months, temperature will range from the 30s to the 70s, it will rain 5-7 days per month on average, no snow and no salted roads. So my strategy for my daily driver until April is:

                              1. NXT Tech Wax (done) on Oct 1
                              2. Fast Finish (done) on Oct 1
                              3. As needed: Rinseless wash + Shine While You Dry Quik Wax most of the time. Maybe 3 times over the next 5 months, I'll need to do a 2-bucket wash, in which case I plan to use Wash & Wax.
                              4. Repeat steps 1 & 2 around April 1

I figure the light wax from Shine While You Dry and from Wash&Wax don't hurt the Fast Finish, and might give it a little extra layer of protection for a few weeks each time you do it. Otherwise, I am hoping that in the mild conditions I'm in, the NXT+FF will last all the way until at least April.

Based on what little I know, my answer to your question (which wax?) is: after black wax and FF, you've got a lot of protection and shine ... so no reason to put in more work than Shine While You Dry, that product gives your base a little boost, and why not save a little time? Looking forward to hearing what the more experienced folks say

UQW offers longer protection, longer durability and hydrophobic properties. Gold Class does offer the darkening of paint. Try both and see which you like between the two.
