There are many variables, but in general one application will not completely remove for example a polymer based wax like our Ultimate Wax, but it will knock it down pretty well, so yes, it would be recommended to follow with one of our protectants after an application.

Originally posted by Loach View PostHey Nick. Can you share more with regards to these polishing agents. I'm assuming these are classified as a micro-abrasive, but as soon as I mention abrasive soap I'm going to get viewers asking whether it's truly trim and rubber safe. If it's abrasive, does it share these abrasives with another particular polish in the Meguiar's lineup? Had fun working with it this last weekend!
We have been advised by our R&D that the polishing agents are categorized as "trade secret", so they are not able to share any details, nor do I personally know the details. With that said, this product has certainly been tested for all exterior surfaces including plastic trim & rubber.Nick Winn

Re: Meguiar's Wash Plus+
I picked up at bottle at the Grand National Roadster show in Pomona. Got a nice little deal that included a water magnet and microfiber wash mitt.
I could see myself using this the following way and for a vehicle that is more dirty than usual.
A bucket with fresh water and grit guard.
Rinse off vehicle.
Soak mitt in water and apply wash plus to mitt and wash selected area of vehicle.
Rinse off mitt in bucket apply wash plus to mitt and on to the next area of vehicle.
Repeat until done.

I will admit, I've moved away from 2 bucket method and soap. I prefer rinseless washing now.
But I can see the Meguiar's Wash Plus+ for when my car gets too dirty to safely do a rinseless wash.
I hope Meguiar's will release a Rinseless wash in the future!

Re: Meguiar's Wash Plus+
I have a correction regarding the ability of Wash Plus+'s cleaning ability. Our Product Marketing Department clarified that according to their testing, Wash Plus+ tended to degrade basic carnauba based waxes pretty quickly, but when testing with our polymer based waxes, (like Ultimate Wax), there was no apparent degradation & polymer based waxes withstood normal washing with Wash Plus+. The only exception was bug & scuff marks that received extra work to remove

Re: Meguiar's Wash Plus+
If I wanted to wash my car and clay at the same time, is this solution OK to use as a clay lubricant? Since it has "polishing agents" I wasn't sure how that may affect interact with another abrasive element such as a clay bar.
