Is Quick Interior Detailer and Ultimate Protectant (Dash & Trim Restorer) serve the same function?

Previously the sell person intro me about this 2 products. He mentioned that I need to use Quick Interior Detailer to clean all the interior surface, then follow by Ultimate Protectant (Dash & Trim Restorer) to protect the interior (e.g. dash and trim)

Is this true?

True.
QID is primarily a cleaner, but it does leave some protection behind. If you're looking for longer lasting protection, follow with a single-purpose protectant, such as Ultimate Protectant, Natural Shine or Supreme Shine.
