  • DBP6 vs S6BP

Shortly, what is main difference between DBP6 backing plate and S6BP backing plate.
I know that DBP6 is intended for use with foam pads and other one with sanding discs but just curious if each can be used with pads and sanding discs and vice versa.
I already have DBP6 together with MT310 so interested if I can use that one with Meguiars Unigrit 1500/3000 sanding discs or I have to buy S6BP.

    Thx

    Re: DBP6 vs S6BP

    Hi ARTB155,

Our DBP6 is designed to be used for sanding or polishing. DBP6 has a new fiberglass core, additional rivets for strength, and also a rotation indicator. Remember to also use our S6FI 6 Inch Foam Interface Pad when sanding.

We can't recommend using our MT300/MT310 for damp sanding because it is an electric power tool which is not rated for use with water. That being said, we do know that professionals do perform this task at their own risk.

It would be best to damp sand with a 6 Inch Pneumatic Palm Sander rated for use with water.
