This is where I admit I'm out of my depth and the numerous product lines etc have gotten the best of me. From what you've said, specifically for me, it seems best for me to start with the new 3 in 1 Cleaner Wax (which I can't seem to locate online in Australia) followed with Ultimate Wax? Where does UFF fit in or should i disregard it all together.

Still in the infancy of my learning curve so appreciate all the help i can get.

    Thanks!
I can't address the "3 in 1" but I do use UFF on top of Ult Liquid Wax. Mainly because it helps (big time) during the vicious winter months here. The c rap from all the snow, salt, and whatever doesn't stick too bad. That said, I have gone to using HWC on her car (very impressed with it so far) and we'll just have to see how it fairs (fares?) in few months (ugh).

Every few months I use ULW applied with the DA power tool (DA adapter for your drill). Then follow it up with UFF on top.
UQW is used as part of the drying process after every wash, except for when I'm going to put down ULW.

If you don't have a DA and already have a high speed drill the DA power system is awesome just for saving your arm when applying wax.

For me putting on wax is the most easy you can do with a paint. Takes 20 minutes. Absolutly no elbow grease is needed, just let the applicator slide on the surface

Hey guys. Got a few questions!

            1. Can I put Ultimate Quik Wax on first and then Ultimate Fast Finish on second? Would that be pointless, as Ultimate Quik Wax doesn’t last as long? And is there a cure time for the wax before I lay on Ultimate Fast Finish?

            2. How can I remove Ultimate Fast Finish?

            3. Does spraying Quik Wax every week over the Ultimate Fast Finish boost the performance of it? I like to maintain it.

              1. Yes, this is perfectly OK & one of the recommended ways to apply.

              2. Detailing Clay Bar will likely remove majority.

              3. Yes, the use of a spray wax will significantly boost life of original wax/protection coating.

                Hi Nick,

Honestly, I'm really curious about the protection of a full year. Does it mean if using it on top of Ultimate Liquid Wax to lock in darkness, reflectivity & depth of gloss, I truthfully don't have re-apply wax for a full year? Just need to wash the car by using Ultimate Wash & Wax regularly is enough?

                  Hi tuanva,

It is difficult to claim specific longevities with waxes & sealants with so many environmental & maintenance variables. With this product, being basically an aerosol delivered sealant, at the time, it was our most durable protection offered. The one year durability on this product was based on 100 consecutive car washes. Even though environmental & maintenance variables still applied, we wanted to give the end user some sort of metric to go off of.

As of today, 12/28/2020, if you are looking for our most advanced, longest lasting protection option, we would recommend our new Meguiar's Hybrid Paint Coating. This product is in a completely different category than Ultimate Fast Finish. Hybrid Paint Coating is a true paint coating, it cures completely differently than a wax, sealant, or even our Hybrid Ceramic/Sio2 based products.

If you already have Ultimate Fast Finish, go ahead & use it up, the amount of protection, slickness, & water beading it delivers is nice for a product which basically flashes off during wipe off, & also feel free to apply it often if you would like. While Ultimate Fast Finish could last 365 days, if you are looking for the best protection we have as of right now, check our our new Hybrid Paint Coating as mentioned above.

Re: Using Meguiar's Ultimate Fast Finish

Has ultimate fast finish been discontinued? My process for a few years now has been ultra polishing wax -> ultimate liquid wax -> ultimate fast finish and I’ve been happy with the shine, durability and ease of use. Is there something I should consider as a replacement for ultimate fast finish in my process at this point?

I use ultimate car wash and wax and use express wax as a drying aid.

I enjoy detailing my car every 6 months and so Im not drawn to the expensive sealants that last one year or longer.
