  • Water stain removal

So.. I bought myself a new DA polisher from HF. Decided to try it on our slightly neglected Sienna van. Hood has water stains. Started mild and worked up, but still not quite right.

started with ultimate polish and yellow pad. Did not remove water stains.

moved to fine cut cleaner on yellow. Nothing really.

did red pad with fine cut cleaner. Got rid of most of it, but up close you still see the water stains.

should I go more aggressive, or are the water stains been there too long to try to get out.

dont want to go to wet sanding. It looks one right now after polish, but could be better.

Fine Cut Cleaner doesn't offer that much more cut over ultimate polish. Have you tried using ultimate compound and a cutting pad?

I would agree with trying Ultimate Compound. Most often times for more stubborn defects it takes at minimum our Ultimate Compound to remove.

do I need to move to ultimate polish after ultimate compound?

Depends on how it finishes out on the paint. Each paint is different. You can evaluate based on your initial test spot with ultimate compound.
