I wonder if that vinyl has been painted.
The dryer I think works if the material is a solid color.
There is a company called SEM that makes a vinyl paint (prep, adhesion promotor and paint).

I haven't tried either.
Several of the folks on the www.elcaminocentral.com forum have had success with the paints.
Like all paints ..... prep and adhesion is the key.

Don't mess with paint. You have about a 99% chance of making it worse. Same thing with dye. Something to remember...scratches and scuffs in interior vinyl are forever. A pro interior restoration guy might have a fix, but I'll bet that you will still notice it. I'll also bet that within the next month you will have another scratch or scuff.
