I purchased 2-2016 (so more than 2 years ago, B4 the new formulation according to Nick) from Amazon. It is used up but, I kept the box to compare with the "new" product I received (that I now think is the old formulation) direct from Meguiar's 3-2018.

So my 2016 old box looks like the photo Nick just posted except the 2 product claims/statements are in reverse order!

Mine, unlike Nick's photo, is in this order:
"Our most advanced hydrophobic wax"
"Extended protection with amplified reflectivity"

LOL

And the product I received 3-2018, as I mentioned above, is exactly like the photo posted by bowler.

I'm assuming I had old product formulation in 2016 & once again I have the old formulation. So, I'm happy with the old formulation protection & maybe someday, in the future, I will get the new formulation & have even longer lasting protection.

Hopefully, Walmart will have the new box, as in Nick's photo, in 6 months or so.

Very bizarre marketing, IMO.

Most products would tout the new formulation with something like: "Now with even longer lasting protection!" Maybe have an asterisk with fine print at the bottom: "compared to the old formulation."

Let's see if I can help here, I think I can clear this up. As of today 5/15/18, the improvement to the polymers has been implemented into the formula for about 1 and half years. Yes, prior to the "yellow highlight" packaging change.

If you want to be absolutely sure you have the latest, look for the box with the yellow highlight, like pictured below.

With that said, yes this was an improvement, but there are so many variables that go into how long a wax will last, it would be difficult for a user to measure a difference. So basically, you can't go wrong with either, but with the latest, you will get even more added protection.

Notice I did not mention any specific text to look for. The yellow highlight I am referring to is the new yellow highlight, which is around the clear plastic window of the box, not the yellow highlight at the top of the box which has text in it. I should have been more specific.

Our product portfolio & their formulations are always being looked at and are ever - evolving, especially the Ultimate Line, often times with no announcement or change to product packaging.

I also had thought the yellow highlight mentioned referred to the yellow banner at the top left which had text such as; "Towel & pad included" or "EZ Application..."

Now that you clarified, I see the yellow accent all around the plastic window! This is clearly shown in you recent pic (with the upper left banner saying EZ Application No White Residue, Even in full Sun.) So, it is the presence of this yellow color, framing the entire plastic window, which tells us it is the new formulation ...regardless of what words are in the yellow banner on the upper left of the box?

If true, this means that both bowler & I did, in fact, receive the new formulation, since we both have the yellow accent line around the entire plastic window, despite our upper left banner stating: "Towel & Pad Included."

Wow Then Meguiars Sweden are selling some really old stuff then. Bought it last year (2017). I know they are super slow with stuff (we just got the wash plus). Another "****" is that i bought the MT300 this winter. It sure wont be the "upgraded" one with the improved cord thing, so it will prolly break then... Great news really! Have to change brand then, Mothers are big in Sweden cos this dosent work if we havnt got the upgraded stuff that has been out for years...
