  • 1959 Cadillac - A Miracle Detailing - Polish and wax at Cars & Coffee PB

It's been awhile since I've posted a "Show and Tell" This was done at the show.

Rupes 15 MKII - Meguiar's mf polishing pad - Finishing polish and hand waxed.

Polished and waxed on-site at Cars and Coffee of Palm Beach

Gotta love the gloss and shine...

Lots of folks and vendors at Cars and Coffee Palm Beach

19 feet long. I wish I charged by the foot (grin)

    The End

Side Note: There were approx. 1,500 vehicles at the show.
I had TWO McLarens and this '59 Caddy in my booth.
IMHO the '59 Caddy got a lot more eyeballs.

There is no point bringing a mirror-deep shine to an imperfect surface. Detailing enhances paintwork, but paint correction repairs it.The paint correction process removes all unsightly swirl marks, micro-marring, holograms, light scratches, and water marks before the wax, sealant or coating is applied to the paintwork. Thanks for looking...

Looks great. Thanks for sharing. Are you referring to our M205 Ultra Finishing Polish?

      Thanks Nick,

I Love M205! M205 is a go-to polish that delivers sweet results and is user friendly.

      Things I like...
M205 leaves a finish that has a warm brilliance, gloss and clarity with easy wipe off.
Long work time, very little dusting (if any) and I only use a small amount of product.
M205 likes the Porter Cable, the MT300, the 15-21mm long throws & rotary machines.

I've used M205 with soft foam finishing pads for "jeweling" all the way up to thin purple hybrid wool pads on a 21 long throw for correction.

Thanks for asking...and yes, this is one of those cars where I wish I was charging by the foot.

What did you use for power at the show?
Long extension cord, or your own generator?

When it comes to style for the sake of style, there just isn't much that matches those big finned 1959 GM cars. That Cadillac convertible in lipstick red is going to catch all eyeballs that walk by. Did you shine up the chrome on that convertible too. It all looks great.

A friend/vendor has a small (quiet) Honda Generator.
I brought a long extension cord and plugged into that.

Machine polishing gets folks to stop, look & ask questions.
Kinda like the "Show & Tell" Megs truck at Barrett/Jackson.

What I did was machine polish the paint to add shine.
Come to think of it I didn't clean & polish the chrome.
