  • Gum in carpet floor mat

We have a 2017 Ford Escape. Found gum in the carpeted floor mat. Any idea how to remove this?

Head out to your local janitorial supply and get a can (spray) of "chewing gum remover."

What it does is to 'freeze' the gum and then you chip it out with a plastic putty knife or similar.

Old post, but for future reference you can stick removable floor mats in the freezer. Once it's frozen, scrape gently with a spoon to remove it.

Chewing gun is actually a derivative of a petroleum product, so various solvents will usually soften it up.
