  • Passing Away of Tim Lingor

It is with great sadness I report the passing of Tim Lingor. He passed away suddenly around Feb. 7th of this year. In addition to all the contributions he made to MOL and the detailing community, he was a very popular teacher! Here is the article:

Students mourn death of popular teacher.

He will be missed! May you RIP Tim! My thoughts and prayers go out to you.

Wow, this is really sad. Tim was not only a nice guy, but a great source of information and helped MOL tremendously early on with his write-ups and advice. You'll be missed buddy. R.I.P.

Re: Passing Away of Tim Lingor

I'm still shocked by this unexpected and extremely sad news.

Tim's legacy will live on MOL forever. He wrote so many articles, which today are still a great source of car detailing knowledge.

Tim loved nature. He was amazing photographer. Some of his work was published by National Geographic.

            RIP, Tim.

Re: Passing Away of Tim Lingor

This is definitely very sad news, indeed. For those of you who don't know Tim, he played a large role on MOL in the early days of the forum. He was a Super Moderator, meaning he had full privileges for monitoring, editing, banning, etc posts and users. He also wrote numerous instructional articles that drew large numbers of views from the forum community. His last post here was back in 2014 in our MOL 10th Anniversary thread, which was fitting since he was such an integral part of the forum in those early years. As his personal life got busier, and he dealt with some recurring health issues that he shared with the community back in 2012, he spent less time on MOL but always tried to stay in touch.

An accomplished photographer, skilled and passionate detailer, and a teacher much loved by his students, Tim (aka 2HotFord - his original handle on the forum) will definitely be missed.

Re: Passing Away of Tim Lingor

Bumping an old thread here, but I did not know Tim passed away!

I befriended him at Mike Phillip's old Show Car Garage site way back in 2003. He was a great guy and a great advisor to this forum and others.

                Thanks for posting, RamAirV1.
