    Hey first post here!
    im going to be working on a car in the next few days to remove some light scratches/ swirls but I have been told the car has just recently been waxed.
    i will be washing, claying, buffing with rupes compound then polishing.

    im having trouble finding out if, and how I should remove the wax first.

    Welcome to MOL. I would not worry too much about it. The wax will be removed during your process.

        Agreed. Clay, or any mild abrasive will remove any existing wax.
