  • Can UC be used while using headlight restoration kit

I've used all of these products before but I've been out of the game for years

Will be sanding with 3m 600 grit, then wet 1,000 and 3,000 pads included in meguiars kit

After that, can UC be used and then plastx or vise versa?

I recall doing that for extra clarity

Or is it not worth it?

Headlights are for an 08 civic with severe oxidation

    Thanks

I would think UC would be stronger than PlastX anyway....

I have certainly used UC and #105 on headlights, though not after sanding so dont know how well it removes marks.

Some of the newer headlight sealant products dont really care if you remove all the sanding lines though...

Depends on what you are looking for the product to do. Depending on what you are looking for, it depends on how it is applied. Be sure to refine your sanding marks thoroughly. Then if using a rotary machine with a wool pad like the pad which comes in our Heavy Duty Headlight Restoration Kit, I would just stick with the PlastX. If for example, you were trying to remove light - moderate oxidation on a pair of headlights, and say Ultimate Compound was all you had, then this would more so be a situation where it may benefit you without having to buy another product.
