Wiper Marks

My car is 6 months old and I washed it in a regular basis. I notice that there is wiper mark on top of my windshield. The mark is circular (like a haze) based on the reach of the wipers. I rubbed hard with Gold Class wash to no avail.

It only shows when I am washing the car.

Sorry to hear about your trouble. Hopefully this is not a scratch.

Meguiar's Ultimate Compound can be used on exterior glass to address light defects like water spots & stains. It will not remove scratches. You are welcome to try this product, or any similar on the exterior glass.

Meguiar's Perfect Clarity Glass Care Kit is also another option. The kit contains our Perfect Clarity Glass Polishing Compound. This product is more effective than Ultimate Compound at remove light contaminants & stains. This product will also not remove scratches.

Hope this helps. Many users do not know that most of our compounds can be used on exterior glass.

It is definitely not a scratch. It looks more like a haze which matches the reach of the wipers.

Hopefully one of those solutions will work. Unfortunately glass is a very hard material, thus heavy defects do not come out that easy.

If some type of paint cleaner/compound does not work, you might have to look elsewhere to a company with a more specialized glass repair kit, I have heard of Diamondite before, but have no experience with it & not sure if they are still around. With any product make sure you read & follow the manufacturers directions.

It is not a damage. Just haze when water goes on it. I wish to be able to upload a picture.

Either clay, Ult. Compound, or the Perfect Clarity cleaner will most likely take care of it.

I've also had RainX remove some spots/marks while applying it, probably the alcohol...
