Pictures from Meguiar's 6/7/18 Pro Carpet & Upholstery Cleaning Training Class

This past Thursday evening we had a AWESOME night learning loads & loads of Interior Detailing Techniques. Darin Pereira, 12+ year Meguiar's Pro Rep, and Chemistry Major, lead the class for an hour or so prior to getting out into the garage. This portion covered chemistry behind stains, how to identify stains, and how to address them with Meguiar's Professional Carpet & Upholstery Cleaning System, D107 Citrus Power Cleaner Plus, D101 All Purpose Cleaner, and other.

After the classroom portion we moved out into the garage to see some product in action.

Studies have shown that dry brushing prior to vacuuming & stain removal/cleaning eliminates over 70% of unwanted material in the carpet fiber. We dry brushed, and then vacuumed thoroughly.

Since this mat had general dirt & grime, we went straight to D107 Citrus Power Cleaner Plus & D116 Protein Stain Remover. We used a combination of the bonnet & tamping method. Below you can see the treated area, next to the dirty area.

We also showed the benefit of using air powered cleaning tools like the Tornador. D107 Citrus Power Cleaner Plus was designed as a solvent free low foaming APC, so it can be used in an air powered tool.

Next was leather and for this demonstration, we used an Ultra White Tesla Seat. Doesn't look too dirty right?

Check out that brown foam! Meguiar's D181 Leather Cleaner was used with a soft horse hair brush by SM Arnold.

We then proceeded to clean up this awesome Tesla Model X with again the Ultra White Seats. Yikes! Little scary! Not with Meguiar's proven process. Meguiar's D180 Leather Cleaner & Conditioner was used after the D181 dedicated leather cleaner for conditioning.

Thanks to everyone for coming out! Stay tuned for new upcoming Interior Tech Articles!
