I just used the Meguiars drying towel for the first time , and it took longer to dry the car than it did to wash . I have a very dark blue car , and I'm sure there will be water marks on the paint . I ran out of daylight . Any other recommendations for drying ? I'm also looking for a low gloss/flat tire black product . Thanks

Re: meguiars drying towel
Welcome to MOL.
The towel you used is the water magnet? Just making sure.
Do you have a coat of wax on the paint so most of the water is repelled off the surface with a sheet rinse?

Re: meguiars drying towel
Run the water run gently (nozzle off) from the roof down, and if your wax is good, most of the water sheets off as The Guz suggests. I also use an electric leaf blower to get the rest. Whatever is left you can pretty much blot off with a Kleenx.

Re: meguiars drying towel
Sorry to hear about your experience gsdan. Another suggestion we can think of in addition to the information other members provided (having a good coat of wax on the car, using the sheeting method) is to try using the towel again after washing & drying. It will work better after it's first wash.
If you would like, you are more than welcome to contact our Solutions Hub at 800-347-5700 or customercare@meguiars.com, to request a refund, or to exchange for another product to try. We don't want you to be out the purchase of one of our products that you were not satisfied with.

Re: meguiars drying towel
I keep trying this towel and the results are still poor . Takes more time to dry than it does to do the interior and wash the car . Leaves a lot of water spots . Looking for something else. i have been using Meguiars products for over 40 years , and this is the first disappointment . It's actually a really good track record

Are you ringing it out any? What is your Method for using this? What kind of dark blue car?
I use one of these for my full size SUV and its barely damp once I am done. (granted I take a blower to most of the nooks and cranny's) But there are other cars that I have used these with without a blower and they don't get to wet.
