  • Removal of soft road cone rubber

What do you recommend for removal of the soft road cone rubber that is left on the surface of the paint while at the events and don't have access to water to do a proper wash, clay and wax? For 1 day events it's not a big deal and i will wash when i get home but SCCA Solo nationals is for multiple days.

For clean up while you are at the events, we would suggest trying our Heavy Duty Bug & Tar Remover & Ultimate Waterless Wash & Wax. For material which has been left on the paint quite a while, would suggest some type of automotive specific solvent. 3M makes an auto adhesive remover which I imagine would work.

Re: Removal of soft road cone rubber

I have a few streaks that I found during the last event and were on there for over a month, the ultimate wash & wax got most of them to lift off and the clay bar pealed up the edge so the rest could be lifted off. The local SCCA chapter uses the soft rubber cones and not the harder high way construction cones. And i don't think the adhesive remover is necessary.

I just got a bottle of Bug & Tar, I'll give it a try after the next event and report back.
