Hello board -
I just purchased Meguiar's/ScratchX 2.0 swirl remover for some streak stains on apart of the hood of my car. Is this good to remove those?

It depends what the cause of the stain/mark is.. but worth a shot. Just be sure to use a soft cloth or smooth foam applicator so you dont make more marks...

I mean as long as it just left some residue, or or effected the dirt, etc.. if the color is physically changed, it wont.
If you cleaned up right away, I wouldnt expect a clear coat to be badly damaged.

I agree with Murr, it depends on the severity of the stain. But Scratch X 2.0 would be a good start.
For some more detailed instructions: Ensure you are working on a clean surface in the shade. Apply some product to an applicator pad. Keeping your hand flat, apply the product in circular, overlapping motions for about a minute or so with moderate pressure. You can repeat this application in any given area about 4 - 6 times. If the stain is not removed after that many attempts, you will likely need a machine like a Dual Action Polisher to safely/properly remove. Remember to re-apply a coat of wax/protection afterwards.
