  • What should I charge for Ceramic?

I use Armour Shield or Kamikaze ISM. They're $70 bucks and $140 per bottle respectively. I can get the Armour Shield for an effective cost of about $35/bottle though on special. I see places here in Atlanta charging $1600 just for the surface, add $200 for the glass and add another $200 for the face of the wheel.

Another place charges $700 but then wants to charge an additional $800 for stage 1 paint correction and $1300 for 2 stage. So, for a detail with stage 1

Obviously you need a clean detailed car before you put on the ceramic coating. I charge $95 for a full detail. $25 to clay bar it. $50 to add stage 1 paint correction and $75 - 100 for stage 2. Then $150 - $200 for the ceramic on top of that.

This is for a car only, bigger vehicles the price goes up. So... for a car that needs stage 1 and they want a ceramic coat. Total price would be $345. Am I too cheap? Am I leaving money on the table? Sounds like I am.

I charge $250 on top of whatever other services are needed for a 3 year coating. Charging $1600 for a coating is unethical imo

It is tough to say exactly how much you should be charging, for your services, in your area, but it does sound like you are leaving money on the table. When it comes to Ceramic Coatings, if I had my own shop, and were offering ceramic coatings, I would not feel right without fully explaining to the customer what ceramic coatings do & do not do.
