  • Meguiars CAR SOAPs / SHAMPOOs - and which one to use when?

Hi there.. I'm NOT sure I use the soaps the right way... So have some questions for You guys who knows everything :-)

First - (this is a question also :-)), I do need to have 3 types of shampoo?

    A. One for prewash/foam cannon
    B. One for "stripping" everything - before a car detailing/comp&polish
    C. One for "mantenance" wash - when a car is not in for detaling but is well maintained
    - and additional for to this point C. Should i differ from a ceramic coated car vs. a "standard" synthethic sealed/waxed car?

Second - when all this is sorted out - my question is what soap to use for what?

    A. foam cannon soap? B. what soap does meguiars offer to clean the car as best... C. does meguiars have a more gentle for maint. wash?

ps: i do allready have a lot of the Meguars Soaps but again im not sure I use them right :-)

    Hi spraycleaner,

    A. So most all of Meguiar's Car Wash Soaps/Solutions work just fine in a foam cannon. At this time we do not have a product made specific for a foam cannon. Our Gold Class Car Wash Shampoo & Conditioner seems to be one of the better options for a foam cannon.

    B. We also do not have a product made specific for "stripping" existing waxes or sealants on a car. We do not feel this is necessary nor do we ever train or recommend doing this. We understand this is popular, but in our opinion, we usually just let the clay or compound step remove any remaining wax/sealants.

    C. With our line up of Car Wash Solutions, there are not really any made specific for prior to compounding, etc. and also goes the same for maintenance. They are all great for washing, whether the car is in good shape or not. With that said, a "Wash & Wax" Car Wash Solution, is a more premium option for a added gloss & protection to a car that is in good shape, and a car wash solution without wax, is a bit preferred to use prior to completing a multi step process on a car. C2 - We cannot speak for the hundreds of coatings out there in this world, but in general, our car wash solutions are not going to interfere or strip any coating.

    Hope this helps.

Ahhh okey thanks... but maybe if you had to order the soaps meguairs have which one is then the less wax giving the most clean now that wash&wax maybe is the "most premium"?

Eg i have hyper and ultimate nzxt goldclass and that other blue soap in the detailer line...
