  • Issues with Ultimate Liquid Wax

    Hi guys,

A real big fan of Megs products.

And I have my first issue with Ultimate Liquid Wax.

Now on my third bottle, the first two had zero issues.

But on the third bottle, there is a lot of seperation & a very watery solution this cant be right?

Is it still OK to use, or do I need throw away almost a full bottle?

    Please help.

Re: Issues with Ultimate Liquid Wax

    Hi Rappy,

If after shaking the product, it is still separated, this is an indication the product is spoiled. Certainly will not hurt anything to use, but also will likely not perform as well.

Did you just purchase the product?

Has it been purchased and in your possession for a while? If so, was the product stored in room temperature?

We apologize for any inconvenience. These things can happen unfortunately. It can be caused by a variety of variables.

      Thanks Nick.

      I purchased this last year.

What a shame!! I may get the paste wax this time.

      How does it compare?

Re: Issues with Ultimate Liquid Wax

Just an update. With the issues mentioned above, I'm shocked that it appears to be performing excellent!.

I was about to get rid of my Ultimate wax today, but decided to give it a good shake.

To my surprise, it has thickened up & is no longer watery.

I'm going to use this on my next detail planned.

        Rappy.

Awesome to hear! Very normal for product to separate in storage. That's why it is most always recommended to give a good shake!

Re: Issues with Ultimate Liquid Wax

Meguiar's should revise the instructions, maybe indicate all caps SHAKE HARD BEFORE USE.

But seriously, just to be on the safe side and if I'm not waxing any car for a period of time, I would shake all my cleaners, glazes, dressings, protectants to prevent further separation and prevent product from being ruined. I've learned the hard way, so once in a while, even I have no intentions of using them, I would shake the bottles vigorously.
