    Good morning!

    I have an old school G110v2. I'm all out of the yellow and black foam pads. I was told that I need to order the 5" backer plate and 5" pads, so I did from Amazon. Then, I was told by Brendan Taft, a MeGuiar's Digital Engagement Specialist, that I needed to buy the 6" backer plate and 6" foam pads.

    Does anyone know what I need to buy? I cancelled my Amazon order because I'm confused.

    Hi Ben,

    Welcome to the forum. Sorry for the late response, i have been out of office today. Either our 5" or 6" Soft Buff Foam Discs/Backing Plates can be used with your G110v2. 5 Inch would provide more efficient pad rotation, thus more correction ability, and better overall performance. Sorry for the mis-information. The part numbers & names for the 5" are below. If you want to run 6", just switch the # out to 6.

    DBP5 Soft Buff D/A Backing Plate
    DFC5 Soft Buff D/A Foam Cutting Disc
    DFP5 Soft Buff D/A Foam Polishing Disc
    DFF5 Soft Buff D/A Foam Finishing Disc

    These new pads, compared to our old 7" Soft Buff 2.0 pads, will be night & day difference on your D/A. Should feel like a whole new machine, smoother, more efficient pad rotation, etc., so yes it can be frustrating for some to have to buy a new backing plate, but we think most would say it is worth it.
