Re: Meguiar's Carpet & Upholstery Cleaner

I’m wondering if anyone else has a problem with this can spraying in a very narrow, strong spray, instead of a more dispersed spray that helps it spray on evenly? I’m on about my 5th can of this and each one acts the same way...

Gonna get a couple cans to see how it works. Now use a similar can and brush setup with Oxi clean total care carpet & upholstery cleaner and it works great.

Some reviews on Amazon that mirror what I keep experiencing:

"Not sure if the can I got is defective. I shook it well as the instructions say, and went to "spray it evenly" onto the section of my car seats that I wanted to clean. The spray comes out in a single, powerful stream, and it splattered literally every surface of the inside of my car!"

"This can design is a severe downgrade versus the previous spray bottle head. The stream is overpowered and fires an intense blast of foam that will ALWAYS overspray. Not occasionally, always. This makes even treatment impossible and will required extended drying time to even out."

                        Hi Cranston37,

Sorry to hear about the trouble. The sprayer on this product has a unique design, any pull up from 0% - 50% depressed will result in a stream for spot repair as you have mentioned, and from 50% - 100% pull will result in a fan/mist for more general cleaning.

Do you feel you have pulled the trigger more than 50% to get to the fan/mist function of the sprayer?

Again, sorry to hear about trouble.

If you have not already, please get in contact with our Solutions Hub at 800-347-5700 or customercare@meguiars.com, especially if you feel these cans are not functioning correctly. We want to know about this & want to make it right.

                        Thanks,

Thanks for replying, Nick. I'd love to help you look into this.

Re: pulling the trigger - this cleaner (with the fresh scent) has a push down button on top, which is different from the old Carpet cleaner which has a pull trigger). Depressing the button any amount results in the same thing - a very thin, strong spray.

I'm sitting on 5 cans that all act the same way. I'm happy to do whatever would be helpful - sending you one of my cans, a video, whatever...

Nick - for further example, if you look at the product video for it at the 0:10sec and 0:22sec marks, you will see the can spraying in a very dispersed manner, for general coverage. None of my cans spray like this...
