Picked up new car with coating

Just picked up a new car with Cilojet already put onto car before I walked onto dealership floor. After my first wash the finish of the car is nowhere close to the soft touch of a clay bar and ULW.

My question is if I clay the car and add ULW will the ULW stick to the car? Will it interfere with the shine?

just a little confused. Never had this kind stuff put onto a car I owned. If I had the option I would of told them no.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

It is a sealant and not a coating. You can treat it like any other car that has a sealant or wax. If you really want to get it off then go ahead and either use a polish or a cleaner wax.

Agreed, if it is a sealant (synthetic wax) & not a coating, a clay bar or a cleaner/polish product will remove it.

After reading this thread I now have a question. I have the same stuff on my truck. So if a cleaner polish was applied to it, its now gone? What about wax? What should be used on something like that? Its only a sealant. We thought it was supposed to protect the paint from chips, etc. So basically is a bunch of ****? And could have done the same thing our selves with your products? Am I right? What about the stuff they do the cloth interior with? No better than scotch guard? I think I will be upset.

Are you asking what should be used for protection? If so then you have the option to use a wax, sealant or coating. Neither of these will protect the paint from rock chips or scratches. If you want something that offers that kind of protection than you need to consider paint protection film.

Polymer = Sealant

Silica/Quartz/Ceramic = Coating
