Wax in cold weather

I usually wax my summer wheels before storing them for the winter.

This year I changed my tires too late and the weather forecast for the next 14 days is between 0C to 5C. I know that the lowest temp to wax is 10C. Should I still apply the wax to the wheels?

Certainly not going to hurt anything, it just may not fully set up as well as it would in warmer weather.

If the wax cannot be setup due to the cold temperature, I should not waste my time then.

In other words, it is likely not going to perform quite as well as in normal conditions, so with that said, in my opinion it would still be worth it. A great amount of protection vs. excellent protection (ideal conditions) is much better than minimal or no protection.

Have you tried our Ultimate Fast Finish? It would be perfect for a situation like this. It still has a minimum application recommendation of 55 degrees Fahrenheit, but at least it's really quick & easy to use.

What about Ultimate Quick Wax just to boost the current wax?? Can that be applied in the cold? I live in Chicago and it can get cold here.

To be clear, I wax the wheels for storage. I would wax the wheels, put in tire totes and store them in a tire rack in my garage. The wheels/tires will not be used for a few months.

For this year, I washed the wheels/tires already last weekend. Because of the cold weather, I am deciding if I should wax.

In fact, although I wax the wheels every year, I am not sure if it is effective. The wax will not last a few months, right? Do you guys wax the wheels before storage?

Have you tried our Ultimate Fast Finish? It would be perfect for a situation like this. It still has a minimum application recommendation of 55 degrees Fahrenheit, but at least it's really quick & easy to use.

I remember that advice for the Ultimate wax but it also applies for UFF? Got most of a car done a few days ago but still have the trunk and bumper left and it won't get out of the 30's.

Despite of the cold temperature, I applied #16 to the wheels.
Not sure if it would work.
