I couldn’t edit my post, sorry. I’m just wondering what to do to maintain the HCW. I’m planning to use the waterless system and have some ultimate fast finish on hand as well as a ceramic detailer. Which should I use after the waterless wash?

        CylonRaider,

You're going to do best by maintaining with the new Hybrid Ceramic Detailer. This will also ensure you keep up the water beading properties of the HCW.

Thank you. I was thinking the same thing. Now I see my brain still sort of works

Can I use only the Spray as protection, without anything else before or after ?
Let's say wash the car and apply spray every month. Would that be protecting the car from the sun ?

              Hi Dtrip,

Yes, you absolutely can, however, for best results we would recommend establishing a foundation layer with one of our liquid or paste waxes, like now our new Hybrid Ceramic Liquid Wax.

Is R&D working on a shampoo with HCW embedded?

Good question! You should ask this in the Product Suggestion thread

I did the Meguiar’s Paint Protect last week after a clay and polish. Do I still need to do another foundation with the HCW, or would I be OK doing the spray and rinse? Thanks!

Even if I knew, which I don't, I couldn't tell you, because this potentially reveals strategy to our competitors.

Meguiar's Hybrid Ceramic Wax is a very easy way to get durable Si02 / polymer blended protection on your vehicle. We have been getting a lot of questions on application, so this article will walk you through our recommendations.

Hybrid Ceramic Wax can be used as your main source of protection, but here at Meguiar's and for most of you enthusiasts which are likely reading this, we like to use it and suggest using it in addition to your favorite wax/sealant, or even on top of a coating.

There are a couple different ways to apply Meguiar's Hybrid Ceramic Wax:

Application Method #1 - INITIAL APPLICATION / FOUNDATION LAYER
Application Method #2 - SUBSEQUENT APPLICATION / WAX AS YOUR RINSE

We borrowed an employee's super cool Tesla Model 3 to make this article.

We started with a traditional wash, using the two bucket wash method. Washing of course, removes all loose contaminants.

Application Method #1 - INITIAL APPLICATION / FOUNDATION LAYER

For the first time using Meguiar's Hybrid Ceramic Wax, we recommend establishing a "Foundation Layer." Hybrid Ceramic Wax is simply applied in a "wax as your dry" style. See below:

After washing the vehicle thoroughly, & before drying, spray Hybrid Ceramic Wax across all exterior surfaces.

Thank you so much! I recently started using it and now this is my main protection.

Sure thing! Takes a little getting used to & is a bit sensitive to how much product you use, i.e. don't use to much, but all in all a great product. There was a lot of engineering behind this one.

Can this be used on a coated car (Gtechniq CSL + ExoV4)? Or will it mask to properties of the coating? Is the ceramic detailer better suited for this?

                            Thanks.

So far I have applied Meguiar's Hybrid Ceramic Wax on our Travel Trailer and our 4 cars.
All first application and wiping dry using a Micro Fiber cloth.
I like this product a lot.
You mention to use sparingly and I agree. When I wipe over the wet surface and then wring out the cloth, I can see some blue wax being squeezed out. So, there is a lot of the Wax still on the damp cloth ready to spread around. Certainly the process is to get that base coating down and just wiping dry with the still damp cloth did it for me.
One of our vehicles is Black and it worked great on that dark color too.
All of them now have a nice shine and I am hoping well protected.
This is much easier than using traditional wax.

Hybrid Ceramic Wax Spray, Hybrid Ceramic Detailer & our new Hybrid Ceramic Wash & Wax are great for boosting water beading performance / protection on coated cars.

                                Thanks.
