    Polishing with Oscillating Multi Tool

Has anyone tried headlight wet sanding and or polishing with a oscillating multi tool. I was thinking of trying wet sanding near the corners of lights where a circular pad cant reach. I can cut pieces of 1500 and 300 grit velcro backed sand paper to fit the sander pad.

I haven't, but then never even thought of it. Sounds like a good possibility to me.

The one thing that pops into my addled brain is the speed of the tool and how much heat it may produce. Maybe give it a shot on a junk yard find first.

Sanding on headlights is fairly fool proof, as far as direction of sanding goes, hand back & forth, d/a machine sanding, there are even kits that rotary sand. So with that said, I don't foresee any major issues. And you meant to say "3000" grit correct?

My multi-tool feels pretty aggressive and hard to control in tight areas. I'd be careful of contacting the body (paint) that surrounds the headlight.
