  • Question about Gold Class Carnauba Plus

I have always wondered about applying a second coat of quality wax and does it make a difference and actually add a second coat or just replaces the first coat. I have waxed my new Honda Pilot with the Gold Class Carnauba. If I wanted to add a second coat, does that reapplication for the second coat actually add a second coat of wax or does the application of the second coat dissolve the first coat and you still end up with just one coat of wax? Does that make sense? Thanks for your comments.

Yeah, I dont think you really get two layers thick.... really just ensuring even coverage, and maybe get into the nooks and crannies from different directions..

Murr1525 is correct, a second coat of one of our traditional liquid or paste waxes will ensure even coverage, and not necessarily "double up on protection." We still advise that two coats are better than one, and typically best applied a full 12 - 24 hours apart. For example, wash, detail, wax car etc. Then, the next day, if there is any light dust on the vehicle, remove it with a quik detailer, and then apply a second coat.
