  • Raindrops are 'splotchy'

Noticed this with the windshield on the GF's car. The raindrops don't form beads that roll off at highway speeds, but irregular shapes like fried eggs. They pose a genuine safety concern as it's not just drops of water on the glass, but splotches that distort the field of view.

I've never seen this, even on my younger brother's filthy car that gets washed once a month with hard water spots on the windscreen.

What would be of greatest help here? Ceriglass?

Certainly a good cleaning is the place to start...

You can go with Clay, Ult. Compound, then glass cleaner to get a start and see....might take more than once.. I tend to use RainX myself, but other options out there as well.

The below product is our option at this time for protecting exterior glass:

I'll give that a go. I'm perplexed as the glass looks fine at all other times (i.e. no major scratches, hard water spots), but is hopeless in the rain in ways I've never seen before.
