  • Dub wheel cleaner question

Does anyone know what the shelf life on the Dub wheel cleaner?

I have a couple of bottles sitting for years in a Rubbermaid tote I completely forgot I had.

    Hi torque,

3 - 5 years if not exposed to prolonged extreme heat or cold. If anything, it would never hurt to use the product, it will just not perform as well if it indeed if spoiled.

      Thank for the reply!

Is there a way I can tell if it's bad?

The cleaner stinks to begin with, so I don't think I could go by smell.

Can I use the Dub wheel cleaner on painted body panel, like hood, doors, trunk lid, etc?

          Hi torque,

We would not recommend it. Check out the below product:

            Thanks for the reply Nick!

Just a update, I tried the Dub Wheel Cleaner yesterday. Even though it took a little longer to react than a remember with the metal particle. It did a good job cleaning the wheel and turned colors like mad. The wheels does look better than when I used D143. So I guess my wheels did benefit from using a decontamination product.

I tried another iron decontamination wheel cleaning product on one wheel that was a year older than the Dub cleaner. It didn't quite react like the Dub cleaner. The Dub cleaner turned color about 70% more than the other cleaner, plus having a longer shelf life.

                Thanks Nick!

I was kind of surprise on how well the Dub wheel cleaner work sitting for a couple years.
