Pictures from Meguiar's 4/20 Detailing 101 Class

Our first Detailing 101 Class of the year started with this fairly new honda. The hood had been re-painted, & there were a lot of swirls & scratches.



We used our Ultimate Waterless Wash & Wax to "wash" the panel.



Then clayed with our Smooth Surface Clay Kit.





Evaluated for below surface defects with proper lighting







And started with Ultimate Compound on a DFC5 Soft Buff D/A Foam Cutting Disc











We quickly realized the paint was very hard & resilient, so we moved to Meguiar's new M110 Ultra Pro Speed Compound via DMC5 D/A Microfiber Cutting Disc





This did the trick, eliminated all swirls & scratches, & left the paint with very little D/A Haze/Micro Marring.



Now any class attendant who wanted to try the D/A were able to.









We followed with M210 Ultra Pro Finishing Polish on a DFF5 Soft Buff D/A Foam Finishing Disc, then a coat of Ultimate Liquid Wax, and then pulled it out into the, ugh, clouds....No sun shots today. But all in all, a great first class of the year. Thanks to everyone for coming out!
