Hybrid Ceramic Wax with Waterless or Rinseless Wash Technique

Hey everyone,

I live in an apartment and do not have the ability to "wet wash" my car and apply the HCW on a wet surface. Would the HCW take hold if I mist the panel with a pump sprayer filled with straight water after doing my waterless wash.

I called the hotline and while polite, they did not seem to have an answer to this and advised me against this technique but I figured I'd check here as well.

Yes, this should be fine. After performing your waterless wash, we would recommend misting the panel with straight water like you have mentioned, then spraying a light mist of Hybrid Ceramic Wax over panel, and then immediately dry the area with a microfiber towel. We would recommend working panel by panel for this technique. Again, you should be fine, and we have discussed this previously in the new product intro thread.

In my experience, the car does not need to be wet. I have better results applying it dry (after diluting it). Of course, make sure the car is clean.

I waterless wash my BLACK cars even though i have my own garage. It's just easier, faster and IMHO better. Both my cars have only had one paint correction since buying them, and that was when they came out of the dealer NEW !!!! Anyway in answer to the OP's question, here's how i do it ! First i clean the car like i normally do so, using D115 8:1 and a couple of decent Meg's microfibers. Using lesser quality MF's to do the bottom, exhausts, doors trims, wheels.... So with the car clean, i take a MF applicator, and run it water so its properly soaked. I then squeeze it out and then using distilled water (sure you're probably fine using regular water, but distilled water makes me all fuzzy and warm) So that's how i do it ! Anyway i spray up a panel at a time to mist it all up.. Then i give my now wet MF applicator pad a spritz or two of HCW and then start applying in circular motion. It makes for a milky liquid all over the panel. I then use TWO quality MF's. One to pick out most of the moisture, and the other to buff dry.

The cars come out amazing.
