2019 Tesla Model S - A Miracle Detailing - CQuartz Finest Reserve

A side note: although a "new car" it was totally covered in DISO.
DISO was noticed on the entire vehicle after the prep-wash was done.
This was not "right off the truck". I had been on the lot 3 months.

Paint Thickness: This was all over the board. I personally measure in microns.
This gives me larger numbers to deal with and I find the reference preferable.
On the hood alone I found large differences (within a foot) of 20 microns.

After a few different "test spots" (Tesla paints can be finicky)
This is the combo I used on this paint.

Correction:
Rupes 21 with a 5" backing plate and Meguiars microfiber cutting disc.
Megs M101 in combo with Scholl's S2

Polishing:
Rupes 21 with a 5" backing plate and Rupes Yellow finishing foam pad.
Megs M210

Glass:
Panoramic roof, back glass, windows, and windshield coated (top of the car)
Carpro Fly-by-FORTE

Last Step Product (LSP):
Cquartz Finest Reserve ceramic coating

Yep, when the high noon sun shines on the paint and it is defect/swirl-free it makes you proud.
Sadly, IMHO this is what a "brand new car" should look like. IMHO The factory/$tealerships don't care.

Folks pay a lot of money for a "brand new car" and it should not look like it was attacked by Spiderman!
Dealerships either have a drive-thru, backyard, cheap, spinning brush, car wash tunnel (Tunnel 'O Swirls)
or someone on the lot who washes the wheels and then the paint with the same sponge and bucket.

True Conversation!
Woman talking to "new car" salesman:
"This car has 18 miles on it and it's covered in swirl marks".
Salesman:
"I don't care, do you want to buy the car or not."

Nice work. Paint was hard i'm assuming 21 w/ 5" inch plate & M101?!

Surprisingly harder than expected??? It did not correct easily???

However, as we both know..."Every vehicle is different".
I don't want folks here to think...This is the way to do this car.
This is what I did on this paint, on this car, to get it to work.

Tesla has a few colors. Black is "included" the other colors are upgrades.
IMHO Tesla black is the softest paint in production. it's "super soft"!!!

As the colors go up grey, white, blue, red etc. the upgrade price goes up.
I also feel that Tesla is better recently, with their paint, than in the past.

BTW - M210 with a yellow foam pad knocked polishing out of the park!

I would argue that this looks better than the day it was brought home from the dealer! Nice work my friend! I love Cquartz! I usually top with Gliss. I live in a rainy snowy area and it helps keep water off the paint!

I was surprised that it took M101 rather than M110 to do the correction.
M210 is becoming my new favorite finishing polish. It makes paint glossy!
