  • Two Jeeps upcoming

Both have vinyl decals on them. Both will be getting ultimate compound and ultimate polish to enhance the paint. I will finish with Ultimate Liquid wax and Hybrid Ceramic Wax.

    Questions:
Can the hybrid go over the decals with no issues?(I would assume it is ok)

And what do people usually recommend for the black hard tops protection wise?

    Thanks

    Hi Charger22,

Yes, Hybrid Ceramic Wax will be OK on vinyl decals, although, the same recommendations apply, do not let it dry on the surface & do not spray too much. I would recommend completing a section at a time for your application with these vehicles, as well as make sure to keep your arm/hand moving while spraying, this way you get a nice mist, instead of a large deposit of one product. If you are completing a foundation layer, you can always spray the product directly onto the towel as well. Other than that you should be fine.

Regarding Jeep black hard tops, you can use any traditional vinyl/rubber/plastic conditioner/protectant, but if you want something with more longevity, I would check out our G15812 Ultimate Black Plastic Restorer.

Yes, Ultimate Black will far outlast D4510 Plastic & Vinyl Coating. D4510 is more for quick & easy.

Plus a gel/lotion format is going to lay down better for such a large, flat, surface area.
