  • Newbie!

New to this forum and wanting to learn about paint correction and Meguiar classes and products. I have been washing and waxing my own cars for over 50 years and still enjoy it. My garage includes some interesting cars including my daily driver a 600hp Jaguar XKR coupe, a 2002 XKR convertible, and my newly restored and modded classic 1972 De Tomaso Pantera. I have a 1968 Pontiac GTO being restored right now and a '58 Corvette being restomodded. Wifey's driver is a 2016 Lincoln MKX Black Label. Enjoy car shows and meetups, such as Supercar Sunday at Pierce College, etc, and an occasional trip to the track and canyon runs. The Pantera underwent a 4year transformation to make it more user friendly otherwise I was going to sell her as my XKR was quicker, certainly more comfortable, extremely reliable, and you didn't have to worry if it was more than 70*F or if there was any traffic. At the same time, we tore out the whole interior, added C-4 Corvette seats upholstered in leather, leather dash and firewall, 550hp engine transplant and fuel injection. It's a beautiful and ferociousl sounding beast that looks contemporary 50 years after its introduction.

I hope to attend some of the Meguiar detailing and product seminars as I want to learn some new skills and start using some buffing and polishing tools other than my hands.

    Thanks for having me.
I can't figure out how to post photos from my computer, so when I figure it out, I'll add some.

Here's a photo of my newly restored and modified '72 De Tomaso Pantera at the Best of France and Italy Car Show about a month ago.

Thank you Nick. I am looking forward to signing up for one of the workshops in the next month or so. I have always enjoyed cleaning and waxing my own cars as I find it relaxing and rewarding. I can't wait to participate.
