Is one any better than the other? I have the liquid and really like how easy it goes on.

They are even in performance with a couple exceptions, the liquid version does not dry white on trim whatsoever, and it also can be used in full sun if needed. With that said, because of these features, the liquid does give a very different feel. There are many users, including many of us here, that prefer the paste version, because of the more traditional application feel. That said, it's personal preference.Nick Winn
