  • Leaf Blower to clean / fluff microfiber pads?

I've been eyeing a leaf blower for a while now to help dry the car off after, mirrors etc, but was also considering an air compressor to help clean the microfiber pads while using them.

I figure I can probably only get one right away, and I'm finding myself a little stuck on which would be more useful. If a leaf blower would be enough to clean the pads I think that'd be the winner for now.

A leaf blower is not going to clean your pads well at all. An air compressor does not even come close to the efficiency a leaf blower has for assisting in drying of vehicle.

Having both is ideal IMO. You will have to decide on which to get first.

Thanks! What about a shop vac? I feel like the suction might be enough to pull stuff out of the MF pad?

Sure! Regarding shop vac for cleaning pads, I would say no. Air Compressor is going to be a much better solution.

If i where you I would get air compressor first. Having a leaf blower to assist in drying is a luxury, not a necessity. Keeping you pads clean on the other hand is important, and a air compressor does the most professional job by far.
