  • Hi, I am a detailer from the '60s and '70s

I am aware of the wonderful advances of modern automobiles and the after market detailer industries advances in paint correction and protection product What I am trying to figure out, what is a hyper claim and what is nonsense. HELP!
In the past, I always trusted Meguiar's products to be effective, safe to use and economical. I do have questions (not criticism) about Meguiar's new wave of SIO2 products.

Welcome to Meguiar's Online! Ask away, but please start a new thread in an appropriate forum section, as we try to keep actually detailing discussion out of our "Introduce Yourself" section. Thanks!

I do not find the surface of the paint to be slick, even though it does bead water. It seems to cry out for a topcoat of something slick. Slick or not slick, durability over time is what is important and time will tell.
