    Concrete Sealer on paint

First post but have followed this forum for a while, did plenty of searching on this topic over 12 pages of results. Only came across one that spoke of this particular instance from back in 2006 ironically; most others were concrete splatter to remove or questions about sealers in general.

The car is a 2006 Spice Red Metallic GTO, it was my first new car I recently bought back. 60k on the clock, paint has never been corrected, so that will be addressed. Parked in a garage, never just sat outside though it was a DD for the first 5 years and 55k miles (the latest owner only put a few k's on her over about 8 years, it stayed on a lift in a garage most of the time).

Had an old bottle of Behr Sealer for concrete, pavers, tile, etc on a shelf that leaked and splattered off my trash can on to the side of my GTO. Can't see the marks only feel them as they are clear hard spots. Tried a few quick things to remove it once I found it but it won't budge. So wanted to get an opinion and some thoughts on what might work to remove it. Would M105 followed by M205 using a cutting pad and polishing pad on a rotary buffer work? Should I heat up the paint some first and soften it up? Open to suggestions, I know this is going to take a little time and TLC to remove.

    Thanks for the help!

TTT, I guess no one has any ideas? Trying to find some time to tackle this, still be a few weeks out as I am traveling next weekend so wanted to get some ideas before hand. Thanks. Tyler

You basically have two different options, remove these marks chemically or abrasively. Chemically, you could try an automotive specific solvent. These are typically purchased at an auto body or automotive paint supply store, or detailing supply store. Although, I'm not that confident chemically cleaning will work at this point, the concrete sealer sounds quite strong. M105 or an automotive specific 3000 grit foam finishing disc, like 3M Trizact, also has the potential to assist in removing.

Thanks Nick, the second idea is what I was also thinking of attempting. When I am able to give this a go I will report back with my findings. Free weekends have not been abundant lately...

Thanks, tried that as one of the first things and it didn't budge it...
